Amy Copeman, Hosted by Kim Johnston Dressmaking @ Regent Street

Primarily working as a photographer Amy has an interest in social and environmental issues. For the Garden Gallery Amy will be hanging images of global transport incorporated into the form of exotic out of season fruits. Amy’s work has also been selected for the ‘Power of Three’ public art commission and will be on display on the Promenade, work no 3.

Title of work - Fruits

This piece represents the fragile state of the planet on which we live. The fruits represent different ways in which we are destroying its nature cycles and what will happen as a result. The native fruits to the UK with the planes printed on represent the importation of fruit we can find here within the UK, the tropical fruit show the non native fruits which we will soon be able to grow here in the UK as the temperature continues to rise.
