Imagine Portobello 2 - Public Art in Portobello… What next? Join us to explore what public art can contribute to the life of Portobello. Saturday, November 17th 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Beach Lane Social Club, Portobello (behind the Police Station). Free but admission by ticket only from: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Since 2003 Big Things on the Beach – a group of local residents - has invited artists to create new work in Portobello. We want to know what you think about this community activity, what it contributes to the quality of life in Portobello and how you think it might develop in future. Your views will be important in demonstrating to funders and others that Portobello is a community committed to creative sustainable development.

For this event we are creating an exhibition of photographs and other images captured by people inspired by the works we have commissioned over the past four years. If you have any images of the Blue Moon (pink dots), Progressions (windsocks) or Wonder (pyramids) that you would like to be considered for the display, send them to: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
