Details of 2007/08 BTOTB Public Art course
Just to let you know that there is now an exhibition of images and text about the Public Art Course up in the library. The exhibition has images and text from the Public Art Course 2006-07. It is the first of two courses being run by Big Things on the Beach. We are currently enrolling people for the second course which starts at the end of August.

There is also an exhibition of Raised Images taken from the Public Art Course up in the library as well. Course participants were asked to choose their favourite Public Art image taken on one of the course trips. These images were then translated into raised images by Rosita Mckenzie and Camilla Adams. Jim Mckenzie translated all the course information into Braille. The process of raising the image helps make the work accessible for people with visual impairments. Go along and try to see how it feels to read the images with your eyes closed. The exhibition will be up until Thursday 2nd August so please go along and have a look.

If you are interested in taking part on the new Public Art Course please contact Caroline Muirhead at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or 0131 6698275 for course information. The course is FREE and places are limited and will be given on a first come first serve basis so don't delay!
